Rory Cariss is an architecturally-trained designer based in London. He completed his BSc in Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, before working as an architectural assistant for Carmody Groarke. He currently works as a technician for Bloqs, an open-access workshop in north London.

Interested in a broad range of materials, processes and technologies, his work spans multiple disciplines and mediums. His background in fabrication means the act of making is central to his work - where the workshop is not only the site of production but an environment in which to test and develop ideas. He regularly works with a range of clients and collaborators on a freelance basis, both as a designer and fabricator.
