A volume of sunlight at 1:1 - with Imo Coates and Peter Cotton.
Tasked with measuring, recording, and subsequently recreating a volume of sunlight at the scale of 1:1, the interaction between a second-floor studio’s window and natural light was recorded over the course of a day.
‘Volume three’, constructed from lasercut mild steel sheet, depicts the late morning sun entering the room from the south, wrapping around a column and subsequently hitting the legs of a desk and the frame of a window on the western facade.
